Indigenous Grief and Loss

In this 30-hour micro-credential, learners will discover foundational terms and concepts related to Indigenous grief and loss practices. They will explore various grief and loss coping mechanisms, support methods, and systems, such as the "Medicine Wheel." Additionally, learners will explore the "Stress Path Model," the seven stages of the "Extended Kubler-Ross Model of Grief," and the impact of grief and loss on our emotional and psychological well-being. Lastly, learners will also be asked to examine their own beliefs concerning grief and loss, and the importance of seeking balance, forgiveness, and gratitude as they experience this journey with loved ones.
