Practicing Wound Care for Paraprofessionals

In this 16-hour self-directed and online micro-credential, learners will explore the role of paraprofessionals in observing skin integrity changes in a patient's condition and why skin integrity is an important factor in patient health. They will also discover when skin integrity issues and conditions must be escalated to a clinical manager. Learners will also learn how to take a pulse and blood pressure reading to monitor a patient's health and communicate these readings to a nurse.
