In this short, 1.5-hour micro-credential, learners will be able to describe the different needs and elements required in grant and funding applications. They will engage in scenario-based learning to apply what they are learning to effectively seek government related grants.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Discuss why the next steps in your stewardship responsibility are essential and impactful for current and future grants
  • Determine the next steps in your stewardship responsibility once a funded project is complete
  • Recognize how to address grantmakers of changes and conflicts that may occur during the development stages of a project
  • Determine which questions to ask potential grantmakers once you have made contact with them
  • Draft a pitch proposal outlining the goals and outcomes that could be sent to a potential grantmaker
  • Estimate the different costs and needs you would include in a grant application for a specific project
  • Describe the different elements that are required in grant and funding applications through the Government of Canada and the Ontario Government
